Idaho State University's College of Education has been the home of the Early Childhood Partnership School since the present College building was constructed in the 1960s. For a number of years the school consisted of a laboratory preschool only. In recent years the College formed a partnership with Pocatello School District #25 to house a miixed age kindergarten through grade two classroom in the site. In 2002 the College received federal funding to add full time infant child care and part-time preschool child care for ISU student parents to its offerings.
The Early Childhood Partnership School is a nationally-accredited high quality early childhood program serving Pocatello's young children and their families.

ISU students enrolled in early childhood classes work directly with teachers and children to gain practical knowledge of course content.
